Revisiting Bruce Springsteen's 1992 Albums: Human Touch and Lucky Town

On March 31, 1992, Bruce Springsteen released two albums, Human Touch and Lucky Town, following the breakup of The E Street Band. Human Touch was the first album recorded by Springsteen, featuring E Streeter Roy Bittan, Randy Jackson on bass guitar, and Jeff Porcaro on drums. Originally set for a 1991 release, Springsteen decided to hold it back and work on Lucky Town, eventually releasing both albums simultaneously.
Human Touch, the more popular of the two albums, reached #2 on the Billboard Albums chart, while Lucky Town peaked at #3. The title track of Human Touch, along with the song "Better Days" from Lucky Town, topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. Both albums were later certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Despite the temporary breakup with The E Street Band, Springsteen reunited with the band in 1997 to record songs for his Greatest Hits album. In 1999, they embarked on an extensive Reunion Tour and have since recorded multiple albums together.
