Renowned journalist Ivor Davis, who witnessed the Beatles' rise to fame firsthand, has passed away in Ventura, California. He famously reported on the band's historic Hollywood Bowl performance and eventually made Ventura his home. Davis, known for his bestselling memoir "The Beatles and Me" and his true crime book "The Devil in My Friend: The Inside Story of a Malibu Murder," also covered the infamous Charles Manson trial. He battled dementia and peacefully passed away in Ventura while the song "Let it Be" played in the background. A celebration of his life is scheduled to take place at Temple Beth Torah on April 19. Ivor Davis was 87 years old.
