With his talent and potential, Watkins is considered a top prospect in the 2027 class, ranking as the No. 224 overall prospect, the No. 29 WR, and the No. 26 recruit in Georgia according to the 247Sports Composite Ratings.
Florida State's 2027 recruiting class currently includes commitments from five players, positioning the Seminoles at No. 22 in the national rankings. Among the committed recruits are three-star TE Connor Winn, three-star DE Anthony Cavallaro, four-star LB Gregory Batson, four-star DB Mekhi Williams, and three-star DB Jemari Foreman.
