Tragic Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Woman in Clermont County, Ohio

A tragic motorcycle crash in Ohio claimed the life of a woman in Clermont County on Thursday night. State troopers from the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded to the incident on U.S. 50 just after 10 p.m. The woman who passed away in the crash was identified as Emily Koppe, 38, from Batavia. Initial findings from the investigation revealed that Koppe was riding a 2013 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight motorcycle southeast on U.S. 50 when she lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn. The motorcycle veered off the left side of the road and collided with a guardrail. Despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Koppe sustained fatal injuries. She was airlifted to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The crash is currently under investigation.
