High-Speed Police Pursuit Ends in Arrest in Roseville: Suspect Faces Multiple Charges
A police pursuit that originated in Placer County made its way into Roseville, culminating in the arrest of a suspect. Deputies were pursuing a stolen vehicle that led them to Industrial Avenue, where Roseville officers joined the chase of a white Ford Ranger. Spike strips were deployed to halt the vehicle, and the driver allegedly tried to hit an officer. Following the vehicle's stop, the driver refused to comply with commands, prompting officers to use a rubber round to break a window. The driver, identified as Stephen Klug, was apprehended and taken to a hospital for evaluation before being booked into the South Placer County Jail. Klug is facing charges such as assault with a deadly weapon, felony evasion, and resisting an officer, with additional charges pending from Placer County.
