Rush Tribute Tour: Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson Celebrate 50 Years of Music Without Neil Peart

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are gearing up for the Fifty Something Tour, where they will be performing Rush material without late drummer Neil Peart. The tour will celebrate over five decades of Rush music while paying tribute to Peart's significant impact on the band. Anika Nilles will join Lee and Lifeson on drums for the performances, adding emotional weight to the shows for both the musicians and fans.

In a recent interview, Lee addressed the debate surrounding the use of the Rush name, emphasizing that the upcoming shows will feature a setlist of forty Rush songs. He expressed the emotional challenge of performing without Peart and highlighted the importance of paying tribute to their late bandmate during the performances.

The tour kicked off with a surprise performance at the Juno Awards in Hamilton, Ontario, where Rush played "Finding My Way" with Nilles on drums. The positive reception led to the announcement of the Fifty Something Tour, spanning across Canada, the United States, and Mexico in 2026. Due to high demand, additional dates were added, extending the tour to 58 shows in 24 cities.

Each concert will feature two full sets with a rotating selection of songs from Rush's extensive catalog. Lee and Lifeson will be joined by Anika Nilles on drums and Loren Gold on keyboards for the tour. The band is excited to reconnect with fans and celebrate 50 years of Rush music while honoring Peart's legacy.

Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart expressed their support for the Fifty Something Tour, acknowledging Neil Peart's unique contributions to Rush's music and lyrics. They look forward to seeing how the band's new chapter unfolds and hearing the legendary music played live once again.
