Ring Every Bell: Eric Dane's Advocacy for ALS Awareness and Research

Eric Dane, known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria, will be featured in an upcoming documentary short film called Ring Every Bell. The film is part of a national public service campaign to raise awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the disease that Dane battled before his death in February. The documentary, directed by Christopher Burke, follows Dane's advocacy work as an Ambassador for the reauthorization of ACT for ALS, a critical therapy program for ALS patients.
In the short film, Dane emphasizes the importance of reauthorizing and fully funding ACT for ALS to ensure access to investigational therapies for those affected by the disease. The release of Ring Every Bell coincides with ALS Awareness Month in May and includes appearances by Grey’s Anatomy cast members and other ALS advocates. Dane had been actively involved in advocating for ALS research and funding before his passing, working with organizations like I AM ALS to push for progress in the fight against the disease.
Through his advocacy efforts, Dane aimed to secure additional federal funding for ALS research and treatment, as well as to support the reauthorization of critical programs like ACT for ALS. His dedication to raising awareness and improving access to care for ALS patients continues to inspire others to join the fight against this devastating disease.
