The Godfather Part II-Inspired Double-Melody Musical Timepiece by Jacob & Co.
Jacob & Co. founder Jacob Arabo has drawn inspiration from The Godfather once again for a new double-melody musical timepiece. The latest creation pays homage to The Godfather Part II, a sequel that Arabo considers as strong as the original. The timepiece is designed to match the heights of its predecessors, featuring the ability to play two key Nino Rota melodies from the original film's score.
Dubbed as "the only double-melody musical timepiece," the watch comes with a black alligator leather strap and an 18K rose gold folding clasp. The journey from concept to realization was a lengthy one, with the final product showcasing years of development to achieve the double-melody capabilities. Arabo aimed to offer a unique take on the musical timepiece concept by designing a refined, 1930s-inspired case and developing a movement that could play two melodies while remaining wearable.
In a limited release to commemorate The Godfather Part II's 1974 theatrical debut, only 74 of these timepieces are available. Each watch features a portrait of the late Marlon Brando as Don Corleone on the dial and is priced at $440,000. The meticulous attention to detail and dedication to honoring the iconic film make this timepiece a collector's item for fans of The Godfather franchise.
