Pan's Labyrinth 20th Anniversary Re-Release: Experience Guillermo del Toro's Masterpiece in 4K HDR and 3D

Cinverse has announced that Guillermo del Toro's iconic film Pan's Labyrinth will be returning to theaters on October 9. The 20th-anniversary re-release will be distributed by Fathom Entertainment. Del Toro himself supervised the creation of new 4K high dynamic range and 3D versions of the film, which will be available in both 3D and 2D formats with HDR.
Pan's Labyrinth follows the story of a young girl named Ofelia, played by Ivana Baquero, who finds solace in a fantasy world during the post-Spanish Civil War era in 1944. Doug Jones portrays various creatures that Ofelia encounters, including the Faun, known as El Laberinto del Fauno in the film's original Spanish title. Sergi López takes on the role of the villainous captain who marries Ofelia's mother, played by Ariadna Gil, while Maribel Verdú portrays the captain's housekeeper, who harbors a secret revolutionary identity.
The film received critical acclaim and won Oscars for its cinematography, art direction, and makeup, in addition to nominations for original screenplay, score, and Foreign Language Film. Del Toro himself went on to win Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture for his later film, The Shape of Water. Don't miss the chance to experience this cinematic masterpiece on the big screen once again.
