Roblox Grooming Case: 19-Year-Old Man Sentenced to Jail for Coercing 14-Year-Old Girl

A 19-year-old man named Carlo Tritta has been sentenced to 28 months in jail for grooming a 14-year-old girl he met on the online gaming platform Roblox. Tritta sent the teenager persistent messages, pressuring her to send sexually explicit images of herself. The victim, from Greater Manchester, believed she was in a loving relationship, but it was actually based on coercion, control, and abuse, according to Det Supt Rod Kenny of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
Tritta pleaded guilty to several charges, including making indecent images of a child, sexual communications with a child, and causing a child aged 13-15 to watch a sexual act. He also admitted to two counts of intimidating a witness and criminal damage. Judge Kieran Rankin, passing sentence at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, noted that Tritta was aware early on that the girl was under 16 and that his actions had a significant negative impact on the girl and her family.
