Bun B to Join Record-Breaking Soccer Ball Line Event in Houston for FIFA World Cup 2026
Houston rapper and entrepreneur Bun B will be participating in a special event in Houston this weekend in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The event, organized by Airbnb and the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Houston Host Committee, aims to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the longest continuous line of soccer balls at Hermann Park. The goal is to line up 1,000 soccer balls along the park’s Green Corridor for the record attempt. The event will also feature DaMarcus Beasley, a FIFA World Cup™ veteran, as well as local leaders and community members. The program will include speeches from community leaders, the official record attempt, and a celebration with food and music.
If the record is successfully verified, all soccer balls used in the attempt will be donated to the Grow the Game Initiative, which works to increase access to soccer for underserved youth. This initiative is a collaboration between the Houston Host Committee and the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority Foundation. The event is part of Airbnb’s $1 million FIFA Host City Impact Program, which supports local initiatives in Houston leading up to the 2026 World Cup. The event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with opening remarks at 10 a.m., the official record attempt at 10:15 a.m., verification by witnesses and Guinness representatives at 11:15 a.m., and a community celebration and closing remarks at noon.
