Fatal Crash Claims Life of Lafayette Woman in St. Mary Parish

A tragic accident occurred in St. Mary Parish early this morning, resulting in the death of a young woman from Lafayette. The victim, identified as Kylee Nobles, 20 years old, was involved in a two-vehicle crash on La. 90 near Cotton Road. The incident, which took place around 2:15 a.m., involved a 2005 BMW 551 driven by Nobles and a 2019 Kenworth tractor-trailer traveling in opposite directions on La. 90. Nobles was driving the BMW in the wrong direction when it collided head-on with the Kenworth, leading to her untimely death at the scene. The driver of the Kenworth sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Louisiana State Police responded to the scene and are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal crash.
