Josh Groban's Cinematic Journey: A Look at His New Album and Tour

Josh Groban has released a new version of "As Time Goes By" from the classic movie Casablanca. The song is part of his upcoming album, Cinematic, which features covers of songs from various movies like The Godfather, The Lion King, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Produced by Greg Wells, the album will be released on May 8th through Reprise Records. Groban's rendition of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King, featuring the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, is also included in the album.
The album highlights include a Sicilian-language version of "Brucia La Terra" from The Godfather, a duet of "Unchained Melody" with Jennifer Hudson, and a rendition of "Moon River" with his father, Jack Groban, playing the trumpet solo. This album marks Groban's first full collection of newly recorded material since 2020's Harmony. Groban has been busy with his Gems World Tour, which kicked off in Honolulu and has taken him across Asia and Oceania. He will tour North America with Jennifer Hudson and will also have a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Groban has a successful career in both music and Broadway, with notable roles in productions like Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1912 and Sweeney Todd. His upcoming album and tour showcase his versatility as a performer and his ability to captivate audiences with his powerful voice and emotional performances.
