Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2014 Induction Ceremony Highlights
On April 10, 2014, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame welcomed new inductees at a ceremony in Brooklyn, New York. Peter Gabriel, KISS, and Nirvana were among the honorees. Peter Gabriel, previously inducted as part of Genesis, was recognized for his solo career. Coldplay's Chris Martin paid tribute to Gabriel, who also performed some of his iconic songs. KISS, with all original members present, was inducted by Tom Morello. Nirvana, inducted by Michael Stipe, had surviving members and guest vocalists perform their songs. Other inductees that night included Hall & Oates, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens, and Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, honored in the Musical Excellence category.
