Country Music Stars Share Funny Stage Mishaps: Ella Langley and Ronnie Dunn's Forgetful Moments with Morgan Wallen

Ella Langley recently shared a funny story about forgetting the lyrics to one of Morgan Wallen's songs while performing with him on stage. Brooks & Dunn's Ronnie Dunn could relate to her struggle and chimed in with his own experience. Langley revealed the incident on a podcast, and Country Music Tunes shared a clip on Instagram. Dunn recalled a time when he used a cheat sheet for Wallen's song "Whiskey Glasses" during a tour stop in Miami, which he jokingly referred to as "Paper Gate." Despite some backlash, Dunn clarified that he meant no disrespect and even poked fun at himself for still learning the lyrics to his own hit songs.
Wallen didn't take offense to Dunn's mishap and even invited Brooks & Dunn to join him on stage during his 2026 tour. Langley, who has been opening for Wallen, has been singing "What I Want" with him, but she admitted to struggling with the lyrics at times. Wallen playfully teased her about it until he made a mistake himself during their last performance together. Langley found it amusing and felt relieved that Wallen couldn't criticize her anymore for messing up the words. The lighthearted moment brought some humor to their collaboration on stage.
