Dolly Parton, the iconic country music legend, continues to capture the hearts of Americans even after more than five decades since her hit song "I Will Always Love You" topped the charts in 1974. A recent survey tracking the favorability of various public figures revealed that a staggering 70% of respondents held a positive opinion of Parton, making her the most beloved personality on the list. In comparison, only 5% of people had an unfavorable view of her, resulting in an impressive net favorability rating of +65 points.
Former President Barack Obama followed closely behind Parton with a 50% favorability score, although he also garnered a 36% negative impression, resulting in a net favorability of +14 points. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and former President George W. Bush rounded out the top five with varying levels of favorability ratings.
On the other hand, former Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden faced less favorable ratings, with net favorability scores of -18 and -19, respectively. Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also received negative ratings, with Musk scoring a net -16 and Zuckerberg faring even worse with just a 10% favorable opinion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ranked at the bottom of the list with a mere 5% approval rating and a significant net favorability of -65 points. The survey highlighted the varying public perceptions of these prominent figures, showcasing the enduring popularity of some while revealing the challenges faced by others in maintaining a positive image.
