East Texans Shine at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards: Miranda Lambert and Cody Johnson Among Nominees
The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards recently announced its nominations, with two East Texans making the list. Miranda Lambert from Lindale and Cody Johnson from Sebastopol are among the nominees. Lambert, who holds the record for the most ACM Awards, received eight nominations this year, including Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. This is her 17th nomination for Female Artist of the Year and her ninth for Song of the Year. Johnson, on the other hand, received his third consecutive nomination for Entertainer of the Year and his fourth consecutive nomination for Visual Media of the Year for his music video, "The Fall."
