John Mellencamp, the iconic rocker, is set to release a new lyric book titled John Mellencamp: The Songbook: 50 Years of Song and Poetry on Sept. 29. The book will showcase his evolution as a songwriter and poet throughout his career, featuring his music alongside personal photographs, drafts, and notes. Stephen King will write the foreword for the book. A portion of the book's presales in April will be donated to Farm Aid, the nonprofit organization Mellencamp co-founded in 1985. Fans can purchase limited-edition autographed books and have a chance to win a signed copy by ordering during the presale.

In addition to the book release, Mellencamp will embark on his Dancing Words Tour - Greatest Hits starting in July, playing 19 dates through August. The tour will feature his biggest hits like “Hurts So Good” and “Pink Houses,” as well as songs he hasn't performed live in years. Mellencamp is excited to modernize some of his older tunes and surprise fans with new interpretations of classics. He draws inspiration from fellow musicians like Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen, who continue to perform into their older years.
