Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2026 Inductees: A Diverse Celebration of Musical Legends

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 inductees, including Phil Collins, Luther Vandross, Oasis, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Sade, Wu-Tang Clan, Joy Division, and New Order. The induction ceremony will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles and genres.

Among the new inductees, Sade and New Order's Gillian Gilbert are the only women in the group, sparking potential criticism for the lack of gender diversity. The selection process involved over 1,200 industry professionals, with three artists - Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan, and Collins - receiving their first-time nominations and subsequent induction.

Notable artists who were nominated but did not make the cut for the 2026 class include Mariah Carey, Shakira, Lauryn Hill, Melissa Etheridge, INXS, New Edition, Pink, the Black Crowes, and Jeff Buckley. Additionally, several musicians will be honored with special awards at the ceremony, recognizing their contributions to the music industry.

The 2026 induction ceremony will be filmed for broadcast on ABC and Disney+ in December, with plans for the 2027 event to return to the Rock Hall's headquarters in Cleveland. The lineup of inductees and honorees reflects the diverse and influential nature of rock and roll music throughout the years.
