Former US Marine Pilot Daniel Duggan Faces Extradition from Australia for Alleged Assistance to Chinese Military
Daniel Duggan, a former US Marine pilot accused of assisting the Chinese military, is set to be extradited from Australia following a decision by the Federal Court. Duggan, an Australian citizen, has denied claims that he provided training to Chinese military pilots in South Africa in 2012. The father of six was apprehended in Orange, New South Wales, in 2022 at the behest of the US and has been held in a high-security facility. If convicted, he could potentially face a lengthy prison sentence in the US. Justice James Stellios of the Federal Court has rejected Duggan's legal efforts to avoid extradition.
