Inter Milan x Pink Floyd: Celebrating 50 Years of 'Wish You Were Here' with Exclusive Collection
Inter Milan, in collaboration with Sony Music Italy, pays tribute to Pink Floyd by launching a special initiative to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic album 'Wish You Were Here'. This unique project combines music and football, shedding light on the band's lesser-known history. Exclusive products, including an anthem jacket, a t-shirt and vinyl bundle, and the PFFC Collection inspired by the Pink Floyd Football Club founded in the 1970s, are featured in this initiative. The collection includes a retro jersey that reinterprets the band's original shirt through an Inter Milan lens, symbolizing a fusion of past and present.
In the early '70s, Pink Floyd established the Pink Floyd Football Club (PFFC), a team that played during breaks from touring and included band members and crew. Inter Milan's PFFC Collection pays homage to this historical connection by reimagining the PFFC name as Pink Floyd FC Internazionale Milano. The collection, inspired by the iconic PFFC photo, features an exclusive retro jersey that blends '70s aesthetics with modern design elements, incorporating Pink Floyd's identity with Inter Milan's. The shirt showcases the PFFC lettering on the front and the 50th-anniversary logo of 'Wish You Were Here' on the back, along with Inter's logo and the iconic handshake symbol from the album cover on the sleeves.
In addition to the PFFC Collection, Inter Milan is launching two limited-edition products dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of 'Wish You Were Here': the Anthem Jacket Limited Edition, to be worn by the Nerazzurri players during the pre-match of Inter vs. Cagliari, and a special bundle featuring an original T-shirt and an Exclusive Blue Vinyl. The project is being promoted through a physical and digital campaign, including teaser videos, posters in London and Milan, editorial content, and a launch video set in London. The campaign will culminate in themed activations at San Siro during the Inter vs. Cagliari match, creating an immersive Pink Floyd-inspired experience for fans.
The exclusive products are now available for purchase on the official Inter online store and at Inter Stores Milano, Castello, and San Siro. Early access is granted to "Interista" loyalty members for the Anthem Jacket, while the bundle, guitar picks, and drumsticks can also be purchased through the Sony Music Italy store.
