Spinning at Coachella: A DJ's Dream Come True

As a DJ with a passion for music festivals, getting the chance to perform at Coachella was a dream come true. Collaborating with Party in My Living Room, a unique house party concert series at the festival, allowed me to showcase my skills to a diverse audience. The experience of spinning at Coachella Weekend 1 was both an honor and a thrilling opportunity.
Preparing for my set at Coachella was a meticulous process that involved curating a playlist that would energize the crowd. As the opening act on the final day of the festival, I had the responsibility of setting the tone for the day. With a mix of upbeat tracks and high-energy remixes, I aimed to create a fun and liberating atmosphere for festivalgoers to enjoy.
One of the highlights of my Coachella experience was the diverse culinary offerings available at the festival. From food vendors like Villa’s Tacos to free catering for artists with wristbands, the dining options were plentiful. The elaborate dining area in the artist compound provided a wide array of delicious dishes, ensuring that I was well-fed throughout the festival.
Navigating the festival grounds, I encountered the inevitable lines that come with any major event. While the bathroom lines in the artist compound were longer than expected, I found ways to manage and prioritize my time effectively. Taking breaks in exclusive areas like the Red Bull Mirage and Soho House hideout allowed me to recharge and enjoy the festival from a different perspective.
After my set, I received positive feedback from attendees, including a live sketch from a talented artist named Memo Wright. The sense of camaraderie and appreciation for music at Coachella was palpable, reinforcing my love for music festivals and the connections they foster. Reflecting on my experience as I drove home, I was reminded of the enduring appeal of music festivals and the sense of community they create among music enthusiasts.
