Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor Apologizes to Justice Brett Kavanaugh for Criticism of Immigration Law Case

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor issued a public apology to her colleague, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, for comments she made about his family. During a speech at the University of Kansas School of Law, Sotomayor criticized Kavanaugh's understanding of hourly workers in relation to a recent immigration law case. Kavanaugh had argued in favor of allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to conduct "roving stops" to verify immigration status. Sotomayor expressed regret for her remarks in a subsequent statement.
