NBPA Grants Luka Doncic and Cade Cunningham Eligibility for 2025-26 Season Honors Despite Missed Games

The NBA and NBPA have granted Lakers' Luka Doncic and Pistons' Cade Cunningham eligibility for all 2025-26 season honors, including MVP and All-NBA teams. This decision comes after the league approved their Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge, allowing them to be considered despite missing games due to personal reasons. Doncic was absent for two games in December due to the birth of his child overseas, while Cunningham dealt with a collapsed lung during the season. Another player, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, also filed a challenge but was denied eligibility for awards after his case was reviewed by an independent arbitrator.
