New Regulations Limit Chatbots from Offering Voting Guidance in Brazil's Upcoming Elections

Brazil's electoral court has implemented new regulations that limit chatbots from offering guidance on who to vote for in the upcoming elections. With just six months left until Brazil's presidential election, AI chatbots continue to respond to inquiries about the best candidate, despite the new electoral rules prohibiting them from providing voting recommendations. The president of Brazil's electoral court (TSE), Justice Carmen Lucia, expressed concerns in January that AI chatbots could influence the outcome of the October election in the largest country in Latin America.
