Bottle Rockets" Celebration: Scotty McCreery's Platinum No. One Hit with Hootie & The Blowfish
Nashville recently celebrated Scotty McCreery's seventh No. One hit, "Bottle Rockets," at a party hosted by BMI on Music Row. The track, featuring Hootie & The Blowfish, not only reached the top of the charts but also marked the band's first-ever No. One single. The collaboration paid homage to Hootie & The Blowfish's classic "Hold My Hand," adding a nostalgic touch to McCreery's music. Additionally, Triple Tigers Records announced that "Bottle Rockets" has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.
McCreery expressed his excitement about achieving a Platinum No. One record with Hootie & The Blowfish, highlighting the significance of the milestone. The celebration, co-hosted by BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC, brought together a diverse group of songwriters, artists, and industry professionals to honor the hit. Members of Hootie & The Blowfish, the song's co-writers, and producer Frank Rogers joined McCreery on stage for the event.
The evening was not just about recognition but also about giving back to the community. A donation was made to the Opry Trust Fund on behalf of McCreery and the songwriters, supporting individuals in the country music industry during challenging times. Attendees enjoyed custom merchandise, treats from King of Pops, and received special keepsakes from Green River Whiskey to commemorate the chart-topping success.
