Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr Collaborate on 'Home to Us' for The Boys of Dungeon Lane Album

Paul McCartney has announced that Ringo Starr will be featured on his upcoming album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane. The collaboration was revealed during a listening session at producer Andrew Watt's Los Angeles studio. McCartney shared how Starr played drums and sang with him on the track "Home to Us."

Initially, there was a misunderstanding between Starr and Watt, which left Ringo feeling upset. However, McCartney turned this into a song about their upbringing in Liverpool. Despite some initial confusion, Starr eventually added more drums to the track after McCartney sent him the demo.

"Home to Us" also includes contributions from Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders and Sharleen Spiteri of Texas. The song features Starr and McCartney trading vocals line by line. The album delves into McCartney's early years in Liverpool and his experiences with George Harrison and John Lennon before the Beatles.

In December 2024, Starr and McCartney performed together in London, playing songs like "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)" and "Helter Skelter." They also collaborated on the final Beatles song, "Now and Then," and joined Dolly Parton for a rendition of "Let It Be."

The Boys of Dungeon Lane is scheduled for release on May 29th, with pre-orders currently available. Ringo Starr is also preparing to release his own album, Long Long Road, on April 24th, accompanied by a spring tour. Tickets for his tour can be purchased online.
