A new Star Wars comic is set to be released by Marvel, detailing the first canonical meeting between Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett. Written by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Jethro Morales and Roi Mercado, the comic, titled Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire, follows Luke, Princess Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Chewbacca as they travel to Batuu to locate Jabba the Hutt’s palace and rescue Han Solo. Meanwhile, Darth Vader continues his search for Luke, leading to a confrontation between Luke and Boba Fett.
Upon arriving on Batuu, Luke experiences a Force vision and encounters Boba Fett, who reveals the Empire's bounty on Luke's head but offers to take him out for free. Luke, in turn, confronts Fett about his past actions involving Han Solo, hinting at their previous encounters.
