Update on the Etan Patz Case: Third Trial Proceeds as Charges Against Pedro Hernandez Stand
The case of the 1979 disappearance of 6-year-old Etan Patz is moving forward with a third trial as a judge refused to dismiss charges against Pedro Hernandez, a former New York shop clerk accused of abducting and killing the boy on his way to school. Pedro Hernandez, 65, has been in custody since his arrest in 2012 and is scheduled for a court appearance in June for a status update. A trial date has not been determined.
