Man Rescued from Scoreboard During Virginia Tech Spring Game Skydiving Stunt
A man was rescued during the Virginia Tech Spring Game after parachuting down with the flag and landing on the scoreboard, as reported by the Blacksburg Fire Department. Three skydivers were scheduled to parachute into Lane Stadium shortly before kickoff. One skydiver successfully landed on the field, while another was blown off course by wind gusts onto the adjacent practice field. The third skydiver landed on the scoreboard, causing damage. Firefighters safely rescued the man stuck on the scoreboard within 30 minutes.
