Colorado has announced that Lane 8 will be headlining the halftime show at the Rapids’ 30th anniversary celebration at Empower Field at Mile High, adding a local touch to the highly anticipated MLS event. The halftime show will be part of a larger matchday production that includes a Fan Fest, live entertainment, and special in-stadium programming to match the scale of the game, expected to draw over 60,000 fans.
In addition to the game against Inter Miami, the halftime segment will feature a tribute to the club’s history, with former players being honored during the break, making it a focal point of the team’s milestone celebration. Lane 8, whose real name is Daniel Goldstein, is an American DJ and electronic music producer known for his melodic deep house sound and immersive live shows. He has made a name for himself in the global electronic music scene since the early 2010s.
Lane 8 gained recognition through the Anjunadeep label and later founded his own imprint, “This Never Happened,” which focuses on distraction-free, phone-free live experiences. His style is often described as emotional and atmospheric, and he has released several albums, including Rise, Little by Little, Brightest Lights, and Reviver, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in melodic house music.
While Lane 8 is known for performing at music festivals, global tours, and curated events under his “This Never Happened” concept, his appearance at the MLS event marks a unique crossover into a stadium sporting event setting.
