Country singer Ella Langley recently opened up about the challenges she faced while performing alongside Morgan Wallen on his I’m the Problem Tour. Langley, who was one of the opening acts for Wallen, admitted to struggling with remembering the lyrics to their duet of "What I Want," a hit collaboration with Tate McRae. Despite practicing the song for days, Langley often forgot the lyrics during live performances, causing her anxiety and nerves before taking the stage.
During a podcast appearance, Langley shared her experience of feeling nervous and nauseous every time she had to perform "What I Want" with Wallen. She even resorted to writing the lyrics on her hand to help her remember during a show in Madison, Wisconsin. Despite her efforts, the pressure of performing in front of large crowds with Wallen added to her anxiety and made it challenging to recall the lyrics.
Langley described the intense atmosphere of performing with Wallen in front of thousands of fans, highlighting the pressure and adrenaline rush of being on stage. Despite Wallen's claim that he intentionally messed up the lyrics to make Langley feel better, she remained skeptical. The experience of performing with Wallen and overcoming the challenges of remembering the lyrics strengthened Langley's confidence and resilience as an artist. Her journey from social media covers to releasing her EP "Excuse the Mess" in 2023, collaborating with Riley Green, and winning the ACM New Female Artist of the Year award has solidified her place in the country music scene.
