Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2026 Inductees: Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Sade, and More!

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its latest inductees, including Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, Queen Latifah, Oasis, Sade, and Joy Division/New Order. Wu-Tang Clan and Luther Vandross are also among the honorees. Artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before being eligible for induction. The inductees were chosen by a panel of over 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals.
Phil Collins, known for hits like "In the Air Tonight" and "One More Night," is being honored for his solo work, in addition to his previous induction as a member of Genesis. Sade, Wu-Tang Clan, and Iron Maiden are recognized for their contributions to music genres ranging from soul-jazz to rap and heavy metal. The late Luther Vandross, with his soulful ballads, is also being celebrated.
The induction ceremony will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with a televised presentation scheduled for December on ABC and Disney+. The following year, the ceremony will return to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's home in Cleveland. Other nominees this year included Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, INXS, and Shakira, who did not make the cut for the 2026 class.
In addition to the performer category, inductees can be recognized under special committee categories such as early influence, musical excellence, and the Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award. This year, Queen Latifah, Fela Kuti, and MC Lyte are among those receiving the early influence award, while Linda Creed and producers like Arif Mardin and Rick Rubin are honored for musical excellence. The Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award will posthumously recognize Ed Sullivan for his groundbreaking contributions to music through his iconic TV show.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame continues to celebrate the diverse and influential artists who have shaped the music industry over the years.
