Renewables 24/7: Showcasing the Future of Sustainable Energy at The Smarter E Europe Exhibition

The global shift towards renewable energy sources is gaining momentum, with solar and wind power emerging as cost-effective alternatives to fossil fuels. The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts a significant increase in renewable energy capacity by 2030. The smarter E Europe alliance will showcase the potential of a round-the-clock renewable energy system at an exhibition in Munich from June 23-25. The Special Exhibit Renewables 24/7 will feature best practices, presentations, and live demonstrations to demonstrate the feasibility of a continuous renewable energy supply. A study conducted in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems will debunk common myths about system stability and provide evidence of the viability of a renewable energy system, using Germany as an example. The exhibition is expected to attract over 2,800 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors from around the world.

Visitors to the exhibition can explore four thematic areas: industry, commerce, residential applications, and mobility, to experience how power generation, storage, flexibilization, and digitalization can work together. While solar and wind energy sources are intermittent, solutions and technologies are available to manage fluctuations and surplus generation. The electrification of various sectors, including transportation, heat generation, and industry, is key to transforming the energy supply and driving innovation and economic growth. The special exhibit will feature live demonstrations, discussions, and expert presentations to highlight the opportunities and challenges of a renewable energy system.

The smarter E Europe alliance, comprising Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe, and EM-Power Europe exhibitions, will take place at Messe München from June 23-25, 2026. This event aims to showcase the feasibility and benefits of transitioning to renewable energy sources, emphasizing the economic, political, and social advantages of the energy transition. It is an opportunity to explore the latest technologies and solutions in the renewable energy sector and to engage in discussions with industry experts and stakeholders.
