Alabama football has secured another talented player for their 2027 recruiting class as Stevan Thornton III has committed to the Crimson Tide. The three-star edge rusher from Cairo, Ga., chose Alabama over several other programs, including Georgia, Tulane, South Florida, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. Thornton expressed his excitement and gratitude on social media, thanking God, his family, and hard work for leading him to this decision. He is listed as a 6-foot-6, 194-pound defender by Rivals and joins AJ Pauley as another edge rusher in Alabama's recruiting class. The Crimson Tide's recruiting efforts have also brought in tight end Colt Lumpris, quarterback Trent Seaborn, and tight end Oakley Keegan, making a total of five commits for the team. Currently, Alabama ranks 34th in the national team recruiting according to the Rivals Industry rankings.
