Kenyon Sadiq: Oregon Tight End Makes History with New York Jets Draft Selection

Former Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq made history by being selected 16th overall by the New York Jets in the NFL Draft. This marks the earliest a tight end from Oregon has been drafted in the last 50 years. Sadiq had an outstanding junior season with the Ducks, setting a school record for catches by a tight end with 51 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns. He was also a finalist for the prestigious Mackey Award, given to the best tight end in the nation. Additionally, Sadiq set a new record at the NFL Combine by running the fastest 40-yard dash time ever recorded for a tight end at 4.39 seconds.
