Spotify's 20th Anniversary Charts: Taylor Swift Named Most-Streamed Artist, Bad Bunny's 'Un Verano Sin Ti' Tops Albums, The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights' Leads Songs

Taylor Swift has been named the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify, as the streaming service celebrates its 20th anniversary by releasing new charts ranking its top artists, albums, and songs. Bad Bunny's album "Un Verano Sin Ti" holds the title of the most-streamed album on Spotify, while The Weeknd's song "Blinding Lights" is the most-streamed song. Following Swift on the artist chart are Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande, among others.
In addition to Bad Bunny's record-breaking album, The Weeknd also has two albums in the top five, with "Starboy" and "After Hours" ranking second and fifth, respectively. Other artists featured in the top 20 albums include Ed Sheeran, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, and Post Malone. Swift's album "Lover" secured the eighth spot on the chart, making it her top album among the top 20.
The songs chart features hits like Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather," and Harry Styles' "As It Was" following The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights." Notably, Coldplay's "Yellow," released 26 years ago, made it to the 15th spot on the songs chart, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' "Die With a Smile," a newer track, ranked 20th.
While the charts reflect 20 years of data, they predominantly showcase music from the late 2010s onwards, aligning with the rise of streaming as the primary mode of music consumption. Spotify also shared lists for audiobooks and podcasts, with titles like "A Court of Thorns and Roses" and "The Joe Rogan Experience" leading those charts.
