Avengers: Secret Wars Rumor - The Maker's Variant Encounter with Reed Richards

A recent rumor suggests that Avengers: Secret Wars will feature an interaction between two variant heroes. The upcoming MCU movie is set to hit theaters next year and will build upon the storyline established in Avengers: Doomsday. It is expected to conclude the Multiverse Saga and set the stage for the next overarching narrative.

According to scooper James Mack, there is speculation that Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards could encounter a variant of himself known as The Maker in Avengers: Secret Wars. However, it remains uncertain whether Ioan Gruffudd, Miles Teller, or John Krasinski, who have previously portrayed Richards, will play the variant character.

In the comics, The Maker originated in the Ultimate Marvel universe (Earth-1610) as a heroic figure whose morality deteriorated over time, leading him to adopt extreme methods to improve the world. This transformation turned him into an adversary of his former Fantastic Four teammates and other allies, eventually expanding his mission to other universes and encountering alternate versions of himself and heroes.

While the possibility of this interaction in Avengers: Secret Wars seems plausible given the film's exploration of the multiverse, there has been no official confirmation yet. Fans will have to wait until the movie's release to see how this storyline unfolds.

Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 17, 2027, with the Russo Brothers directing the film based on a screenplay by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
