Josh Groban Announces New Album "Cinematic" Featuring Covers of Iconic Movie Songs
Josh Groban has released a new version of the song "Skyfall" from the James Bond movie of the same name, originally sung by Adele. This track is part of his upcoming album, Cinematic, which features covers of songs from various movies like The Godfather, The Lion King, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Produced by Greg Wells, the album will be released on May 8th through Reprise Records. Groban has also shared his renditions of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "As Time Goes By" from The Lion King and Casablanca, respectively. The album includes unique versions of classic songs like "Brucia La Terra" from The Godfather and a duet of "Unchained Melody" with Jennifer Hudson. This album marks Groban's first full collection of newly recorded material since 2020's Harmony, which featured collaborations with Leslie Odom Jr. and Sara Bareilles. Groban recently completed his GEMS World Tour and will embark on a North American tour with Jennifer Hudson in June, with a Las Vegas residency planned for the fall. Additionally, Groban's Find Your Light Foundation has awarded over $1.5 million to arts education organizations in the U.S. in its most recent grant cycle. Groban has also made appearances on Broadway and in various TV shows and movies.
