Voivod, the Canadian metal band, is set to release their new album, Symphonique, on June 5 through Century Media Records. This unique live album features the band performing with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra on 12 tracks, totaling 73 minutes of music. The recording took place at the Grand Theatre in Quebec City on June 4, 2025, with composer Hugo Begin arranging the pieces to blend metal's intensity with orchestral grandeur.

Drummer and founding member Michel "Away" Langevin expressed his excitement about the collaboration with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, calling it a dream come true. Voivod, formed in 1983, has a long history of playing together and received a Juno Award in 2023 for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album for their release of Synchro Anarchy in 2022. The album achieved success in various European countries, reaching No. 7 on the German charts and making an impact in Switzerland, Austria, and the Netherlands.

In June, Voivod will be performing in Europe and the UK, followed by a special show on January 30, 2027, at the Municipale Palace Theatre in Chicoutimi, Canada, where they will be joined by the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Symphony Orchestra. Michel "Away" Langevin has expressed his desire to take this unique orchestral collaboration on a global tour with local orchestras.
