Queens of the Stone Age Reunite with Nick Oliveri for Special Performance at Joshua Tree Retreat Center

Queens of the Stone Age recently reunited with former member Nick Oliveri for a special performance at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center in California. Frontman Josh Homme introduced Oliveri as a beloved friend and they performed the song "Auto Pilot" from the Rated R album. Oliveri joined Homme and current bassist Michael Shuman on vocals, engaging with fans in the photo pit during the performance.

Both Homme and Oliveri were part of the band Kyuss in the early '90s before Homme formed Queens of the Stone Age and brought Oliveri on board in 1998. Despite Oliveri's departure in 2004 due to domestic abuse allegations, he has made occasional appearances with the band, including contributing vocals on a song from the album ...Like Clockwork in 2013 and performing at a show in 2014.

In a recent interview, Homme hinted at the possibility of a Kyuss reunion, expressing a desire to reconcile and move forward positively. The current "Catacombs Tour" will conclude on May 1st in California before the band heads to the UK and Europe in late June, followed by a North American stadium tour with Foo Fighters in August.
