Comedian Jorma Taccone Opens Up About Uncomfortable Experience with Kevin Spacey on SNL

Comedian Jorma Taccone recently shared his experience working with various hosts on Saturday Night Live, revealing that Kevin Spacey was the one host he did not enjoy working with. Taccone, a member of the Lonely Island trio, produced digital shorts on SNL from 2005 to 2011, interacting with guest hosts and musical acts each week. He admitted that he felt uncomfortable around Spacey during the actor's hosting stint in May 2006.

Spacey, who faced sexual misconduct allegations in 2017, was cleared in a civil lawsuit brought by actor Anthony Rapp and acquitted on all counts in a trial in London in 2023. Taccone did not elaborate on why he felt uncomfortable around Spacey, but he is not the only SNL cast member to recall an awkward encounter with the actor. Tina Fey also shared a similar experience where Spacey flirted with her at an after-party.

Representatives for Spacey did not respond to Taccone's statement. The actor has faced multiple allegations of sexual assault, reaching civil settlements with three men last month. Taccone's revelation sheds light on the discomfort some SNL cast members felt around Spacey during his hosting stint on the show. If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual abuse, organizations like Rape Crisis and Rainn offer support and resources for survivors.
