Brad Stevens has been named the 2025-26 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year, marking his second win after previously receiving the award in 2023-24. Stevens, the President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics, is the 12th executive to win the award multiple times since its inception in 1972-73. Under Stevens' leadership, the Celtics finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 56-26 record, securing the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and a top-two seed in the NBA Playoffs for the fifth consecutive season.
Before transitioning to his current role in the front office, Stevens spent eight seasons as the head coach of the Celtics. Over his 13-year tenure with the franchise, Boston has made 12 playoff appearances, showcasing Stevens' impact on the team's success. The voting panel for the 2025-26 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year Award consisted of basketball executives from NBA teams, with the balloting process overseen by the independent accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP.
