Metallica Announces 'Reload (Remastered)' Release and Exciting Tour Updates
Metallica is set to release a remastered version of their seventh studio album, 'Reload,' on June 26. The album will feature hits like 'Fuel,' 'The Unforgiven II,' and 'The Memory Remains,' along with unreleased demos, rough mixes, live performances, and more. The release will be available in various formats, including 2LP, CD, cassette, and digital.
In addition to the standard release, Metallica will also offer a 'Reload Remastered Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set,' which includes 15 CDs of extra material, four DVDs of live footage and behind-the-scenes content, and a variety of memorabilia such as Rorschach Test cards, posters, stickers, guitar picks, and a deluxe book with photos and stories.
Metallica recently announced a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, extending their dates into March 2027 due to high demand. Drummer Lars Ulrich expressed excitement about the residency, calling it an opportunity to reinvent their live interactions with fans. The band will also embark on a UK and European tour later this year, including shows in London, Dublin, Glasgow, and Cardiff.
Before their Las Vegas residency, Metallica will perform a special two-night stint at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut to celebrate the venue's 25th anniversary. Guitarist Kirk Hammett has revealed that he has 767 new riffs for Metallica's next album, following the release of their latest effort, '72 Seasons,' in 2023.
