She has also starred in the series The Way Home and has been a spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris for 40 years. AWMF president Becky Brooks praised MacDowell for her integrity, resilience, and authenticity, stating that she has paved the way for women in the industry.
Yvette Nicole Brown, a two-time Emmy nominee known for her work in Community, Dreamgirls, and Avengers: Endgame, will host the event. Brown, who previously won a Gracie Award for her role in Community, expressed her excitement about returning to the show as a winner for her podcast series Squeezed. She described the Gracie Awards as a special evening celebrating women in the industry.
Mickey Guyton, a four-time Grammy-nominated country music artist, will also be part of the event. Guyton made history with her debut album Remember Her Name, becoming the first Black female artist nominated in multiple categories at the Grammys. She was also named CMT's breakout artist of the year.
