Man Wanted in Anderson County Triggers Alert on USC Campus: Pursuit Ends at Strom Thurmond Wellness Center
Richland County deputies reported that a man wanted in Anderson County triggered an alert on the University of South Carolina campus. The fugitive was seen near Harbison Blvd. and I-26, leading to a pursuit that ended at the intersection of Blossom and Assembly Streets. The suspect sought refuge in the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness building, where he was apprehended without any injuries. USC police issued a Carolina Alert to warn students and faculty to steer clear of the area during the chase.
