Meet Penn State's Newest Backcourt Addition: Thomas Allard

Penn State has recently added another player to their backcourt through the transfer portal. Thomas Allard, a transfer from the University of Alabama Huntsville, has committed to the Nittany Lions. Allard, who played at the Division II level in the Gulf South Conference, had impressive stats last season, averaging 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in 32 appearances.
Allard is expected to provide depth to the team, joining other transfer additions like Roberts Blums from Davidson and Jay Rodgers from Central Connecticut State. Penn State has also secured commitments from Brant Byers from Miami (Ohio) and Tim Oboh from Buffalo. Standing at 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, Allard brings size to the guard position and will be entering his redshirt senior year in the upcoming season.
Before his time at the University of Alabama Huntsville, Allard played for Lincoln Memorial University, another Division II school. With experience from both schools, Allard is now looking forward to his first opportunity to play at the Division I level with Penn State, where he has one season of eligibility remaining. The Nittany Lions' roster is shaping up with a mix of new transfers and returning players, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
