Rescheduled Radio 2 in the Park Music Festival in Stirling to Avoid Summer Event Conflicts

The BBC has decided to reschedule the Radio 2 in the Park music festival in Stirling following concerns raised by local event organizers. Originally planned for August, the festival will now take place in September. This decision was made to avoid conflicting with other summer events in the area, such as Doune The Rabbit Hole and Discovery Festival in July, and Party at the Palace, Replay Festival, and Summer’s End Festival in August.
The new dates for Radio 2 in the Park have not been finalized yet. The BBC has been in discussions with local festival organizers and stakeholders since announcing the event earlier this year. The Scottish Independent Festivals Association provided valuable feedback, prompting the decision to move the festival to September to minimize the impact on other music festivals in the region.
Scotland is known for hosting a variety of events, and the independent festival sector plays a significant role in the cultural and economic life of communities across the country. The Scottish Independent Festivals Association appreciates the BBC's consideration in rescheduling Radio 2 in the Park and looks forward to collaborating with the BBC, EventScotland, VisitScotland, Stirling Council, and other partners to ensure the success of the event and support the thriving festival landscape in Scotland.
