Fatal Shooting at Unauthorized Gathering on Auburn Boulevard: Suspects in Custody

Five individuals, including two minors, have been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred at an unauthorized gathering on Auburn Boulevard in March, as per the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. The incident unfolded shortly after midnight on March 15 in the 4400 block of Auburn Boulevard, where deputies responded to reports of gunfire. A man and a woman were found inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds, with the woman succumbing to her injuries at the scene while the man is expected to recover after being transported to a hospital.

The shooting was linked to a large, unapproved "pop-up" party held at 4366 Auburn Boulevard, where attendees gathered both inside and outside the venue. Witnesses recounted that a group of four to five males retrieved firearms from a vehicle and discharged approximately 70 rounds towards another group in the parking lot. The victims, who were innocent bystanders and passengers in an Uber trying to leave the area, were caught in the crossfire.

Following a thorough five-week investigation, it was revealed that one group had been waiting for a rapper and his associates to exit the party. When the rapper's group departed, five suspects emerged from a vehicle and opened fire on the crowd. The authorities successfully identified all five suspects, including three adults and two juveniles. On April 20, four suspects, namely Kymani Agbouti, Avante Washington, and two juveniles, were apprehended. The fifth suspect, Juan Colmenero, fled to Puerto Rico post the shooting but was arrested on April 29 at San Francisco International Airport upon his return.

All five suspects have been charged with offenses related to homicide, and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that there are no outstanding suspects in the case. The investigation is still ongoing to gather further details and evidence related to the incident.
