Summer Slam: Exciting Promotions at Northeast Ohio's Baseball Stadiums
Get ready for a sizzling summer at the ballpark with a lineup of exciting promotions at Northeast Ohio's baseball stadiums. The Akron RubberDucks, Cleveland Guardians, Lake County Captains, and Lake Erie Crushers have a total of 23 promotional nights planned, promising a fun-filled experience for fans of all ages.
Kicking off the season with a bang, the Akron RubberDucks will host a Star Wars Night on May 1, featuring electric blue jerseys and post-game fireworks. The following night, fans can enjoy a nostalgic trip to the past with the Melonheads suiting up for a night of kid-style fun and a Backyard Baseball card pack giveaway. On May 3, fans can meet and greet mascots like Webster, Rubberta, Orbit, and Homer, with kids 12 and under getting the chance to run the bases.
The Lake County Captains will celebrate Hispanic heritage on May 5 with music, culture, and in-game entertainment as Los Picantes de Lake County take the field. The team will also honor local heroes on Community Champions Night. Meanwhile, the Lake Erie Crushers will kick off their season with a home opener on May 8, followed by a Kyle Manzardo "The Manzo-lorian" bobblehead giveaway on Star Wars Night.
The Cleveland Guardians have a packed schedule of promotions, including a tribute to the 2016 team on May 15 and a celebration of Akron's history of Negro League baseball on May 16.
